Whew! And finally we got the tape out at a nearby friendly[??] service center. We did get so many strange looks, though.. Heh!! LOL – same thing happened to me.. my mom was in and I had a bunch of 15 of my collegemates with me scared to death.. and we virtually had to smuggle the VCR out of the house in a huge bag of my colleague.. Whew!

And finally we got the tape out at a nearby friendly[??] service center. We did get so many strange looks, though.. Heh!!

The current went off and the girls were at their wits end. 3 girls deserted the sinking ship while the host and the lone guest(me) were left. The current came back after 1&1/2 hrs by which time the parents were back. I was given the responsibility of diverting the parents attention and for the 1st time in my life I expressed an interest in cooking & involved the lady of the house in a detailed conversation about the ingredients she used to fry fish, while her daughter removed the blasted tape & hid it. p.s - every minute of those 90 minutes felt like eons and even now the heart thuds a slow dramatic beat in remembrence. I rember calling up the local power sub-station and asking him, if he could switch on power for 20 secs!!! so tht we could take out the tape! Gettin back those memories and laughing at my self,how dumb we've been then! But u were lucky, u guys escaped!!, As some-one said -Internet has made things easy now!, it's not a big deal now to watch one such movie.., Infact even if u were caught browsing some Porn sites we can some how manage to explain tht it was some Pop up!!
